50 Shades of Dead – A Short Story by Steff

I have written a short story, using inspiration from Fifty Shades of Grey and another story – but that will be a surprise.

Please read it with an open-mind. I hope you enjoy it 🙂

50 Shades of Dead

Chapter 1

Arabella Stevenson remembered all too clearly the day Chad Gunter walked into the hardware store she worked at. She was reaching for a hammer so she could attach a price tag to it, when a hand reached over her and grabbed it. Fighting down her irritation, she turned around and practically ran into him. He was standing way too close, she immediately hated it.

“Sorry, were you wanting this” he said, putting on what he thought was his best smoulder

“Quite obviously” she replied, trying hard to keep her annoyance out of her voice. She had met Chad a week earlier after he performed a speech on his business, Gunter Enterprises, and he had looked her in the eye like she was the only one in the room. It had set her on edge, and not in a good way. Seeing him today, her inner demon took out it’s pitchfork and started hissing flames, it wasn’t a good sign for things to come.

“I was wondering if you could help me with finding some items” he asked, looking her up and down.

“Sure” Arabella beared her teeth in what was quite obviously a forced smile, “I have nothing better to do with my time”.

Chad laughed in a husky, breathy way, which sounded like a fox coughing on water. He knew he was good looking and women would do anything for him.

“I would like to get some tape, rope and zip-ties please”

“Oh, are you planning on killing someone today?” she asked while heading towards the items.

“Not killing someone” he laughed, looking at her out of the corner of his eye “unless you can kill someone from pleasure”.

Arabella’s inner demon had now grown and had turned an angry red colour. It was on it’s hind-legs like a cat confronting another cat. It’s hackles were raised and an inferno was surrounding it.

Oh she thought.

Chapter 2

Processing the items through the check-out, the counter keeping Chad a safe distance away from her, Arabella couldn’t help but feel intrigued of this psychopathic maniac who strongly resembled Scott Disick. She looked up at him from under her lashes and saw that he was watching her with a ravenous look on his face. She blushed and looked back down, keeping to the task at hand.

“I want you to come on a date with me” he stated.

Arabella took a sharp breath and dropped the roll of tape, causing it to roll of the counter and onto the floor. Chad picked it up and handed it back to her, causing her to blush and giggle.

Her inner demon was now contemplative, it’s hands in a pyramid in front of it’s face. It gave a slight nod.

“That would be lovely” she said in her sweetest voice.

“I will pick you up after work. I will bring clothes”.

Chad collected his tape, rope and zip-ties with a smug look on his face. He looked over his shoulder as he walked out, winking over his shoulder.

After he left the store, Arabella winked back.

Chapter 3

Chad had picked Arabella up after work as promised, in his silver Audi R8.

“I’m taking you back to my place if that’s ok? I have dinner set up and a business proposition”.

“Sure” she blushed.

His apartment was at the top of a highrise, showcasing the beautiful lights of Seattle. Arabella looked out the window in wonder, marvelling the scenic surroundings.

Oh she thought.

“I was wondering if you would like to be my submissive” Chad said whilst pouring a glass of wine. “I would be dominant. You would have to do everything I say, which I don’t think would be too much of an issue for you”

Arabella mulled it over while sipping her wine. It tasted bitter in her mouth.

“Just so you know, I think women are my inferiors because I am fifty shades of fucked up” he continued.

Arabella blushed. She had met men like him before and knew his likes and dislikes. In other words, she already knew he thought women were his inferiors.

“Show me” she whispered. “Show me what you would do”

He smiled then, and tucked a stray piece of her hair behind her ear. She had been told what his game was by a friend who had previously been “involved” with him. It hadn’t ended well.

Chapter 4

Arabella stepped closer to Chad so that she knew he could feel her breath on his face. He shivered.

Reaching into her work overalls, Chad raised an eyebrow. The anticipation was radiating off of him in waves.

“Oh Chad,” Arabella smiled and tilted her head, “you are fifty shades of dead you piece of shit”.

Realisation took over his features as she pulled out her wand.

“Avada Kedavra” she yelled, and the green light hit him square in the chest. Chad Gunter would never dominate another woman again.

Arabella finished her wine and took Chad’s rolex watch off his wrist. She would donate the money from the traded rolex to the domestic violence foundation.

After vanishing Chad’s corpse, she jumped on her Nimbus 6000.

Destination: The White House.
